SO... WHAT IS THIS?

FRAMES FOR FUTURE is an international collaborative animation project highlighting the biggest global challenges humanity faces today through art and storytelling. Artists and studios from around the world came together to raise awareness about the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals in general and the UN Climate Action Summit 2019 in particular.

COOL. WHY?

We live in a time with huge global problems. Our way of life has become unsustainable and is destroying our common home–threatening her and our very existence. There clearly is no Planet B and we might just be the last generation with the chance to turn the tides with regards to climate change.

But we are not only facing environmental issues. We also have social and economical challenges on our hands: Poverty, health problems, gender inequality, hunger, people living without access to education or electricity, and much, much more.

So… where do we even begin? As individuals, making a difference can seem impossible and completely ineffectual.

On September 23rd, the United Nations Climate Action Summit will meet to discuss and review actions to combat climate change as a global community. To raise awareness about this event, we invited distinguished artists and studios of the motion design and animation industry to create an animated piece for each of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

By telling stories about these goals, we aim to inspire curiosity and action from both the public and the leaders of our world.

I SEE.
WHO IS THIS, THOUGH?

FRAMES FOR FUTURE was initiated and organized by the motion design and animation studio CCCCCCC based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The project was, however, only possible through the investment of time and expertise made by the contributors. Therefore, special and heartfelt thanks go out to each and every artist who decided to spend their precious thoughts and energy on this cause.
